Enzo Domenicalli ensures there's a Rossi on the front row for the second consecutive race, and also secured his best ever starting position in the series as he lapped just over a tenth slower than Ruiz to end up second, while team mate Giodano could only manage ninth.
Simon was just one thousandth of a second slower than Domenicalli in third with Nathaniel Powers completing the top four ahead of Jean Mattson, meaning five different teams take up the first five grid spots. Downton are the first team to feature twice with Thunder in sixth, Beckenbauer is eighth for Liverpool, while Milkovich rounds out the top ten for Mattson. Felix Beyer returned to form after his miserable 22nd in South Africa with eleventh, heading Kinnumen's Westwood and their respective team mate's, with twelfth placed Kinnumen the last man inside a second of pole. Scott Parsons ended up just 0.022 slower than Stuart Harrison in his first qualifying session for Meteor as they locked out row eight, while Sikes again out qualified Dywer 17th to 19th, with Agostino's FUN separating the pair. Osterhagen sneaked his Warrior into the top 20 ahead of Davenport and Ellington, while Harding and Wilson will once more make up the back row. Harding was the slowest qualifier in 23rd while Wilson suffered a hydraulics failure prior to the session and couldn't complete a lap. With five cars between himself and his team mate, can Ruiz finally start to claw back some of the 77-point advantage Wagner already has? Will the variety at the front seen in qualifying continue into the race? Join us for the Spanish V-Prix from Jerez to find out!
