Powers was first with a 1:21.834, before the benchmark was lowered by Klaas with a 1:21.708. Giodano went fastest overall in the first sector as he looked to involve himself in the scrap and set a 1:21.802 for second, but Powers jumped from third to pole with a 1:21.663, with just six minutes left on the clock.
A late lap from Arden Hutchinson saw him split the Franklin drivers with fourth fastest, Enrique Ruiz pushed to the third row alongside the returning Lewis Ellington, who also carried over his practice form and will start sixth in his first race for Holmqvist.
Will Hoskins snuck into the top ten with a great lap for ninth fastest, but his former team mate Tumo Kinnumen was apoplectic after qualifying sixteenth, citing the car was "utter garbage," despite being just two tenths slower than team mate Finn Schnyder, who will start tenth.
Interestingly there is a strong mix of tyre strategies from the drivers ahead of tomorrow's race, with choice fairly equally split between the soft, medium and hard tyre.
