Hugh Dwyer put in a strong performance on his return to the series with seventh ahead of Tumo Kinnumen. Finn Schnyder made it two Westwood's in the top ten as the pair sandwiched Puccio Giodano in ninth, with Franklin disappointed in their days running after Enrique Ruiz could only manage fifteenth fastest.
Despite the poor conditions, remarkably there were no notable incidents aside from the odd spin. The weather is meant to clear up for qualifying tomorrow and be dry for the race on Sunday, though the final day of action may start wet - affecting the FV2 sprint race.
