Lee Fullers crash affected many drivers in the fight for points and forced LWGP driver Hugh Dywer to pit with a broken front wing.
It was a bad weekend for the LWGP boys as, after a promising qualifying session, both drivers had their races ruined through no fault of their own. Carson Davenport had ended a good race when his Yamaha engine (one of the most reliable engines on the grid) expired. Head of Engine design at Yamaha, Teruki Mori, said this "Obviously, the engine has been reliable, as was the brief given by LWGP
