Breaking news! Finland's Ultimate Nordic FV-team have just revealed their new challenger, 4-FUN, for the 2016 FV-season. Team-principal Dick Diceman, race-drivers Carson Davenport and Romano Agostino and the new test-driver Yrjänä Vähäsöyrinki were present as the Finnish team published their new car.
"I am more than happy to reveal our new, hopefully faster car. Before going any further, I'd like to thank Nic Morley for his big help whit the design of the livery. This will be the 4th season for us and the series, and we are looking forward to the new season more excited than ever. After rather disappointing last season, we believe this year we will be much more competitive. Our goals for the season is to finish in the top-6 and reach our first podium. I know it's not going to be easy, as the field is more competitive than ever, but with the wonderful co-operation with Yamaha we believe we can cause many surprises during the season", said the team-principal Diceman. Carson Davenport admitted last season was the most frustrating season of his career so far, but he was optimistic about FUN's chances in 2016: "Last year I think we made some wrong choices and I think we should have scored more points, but we couldn't maximize the opportunities. We don't know what other teams have done during the winter, but the atmosphere at our factory has been very good and everyone is very optimistic about the new season. I am happy to be here and I'm really looking forward for the winter-testing." Romano Agostino will start his third season at FUN, making him the longest-serving driver in the team's history. Agostino says he didn't even consider other options despite the very challenging 2015-season at the Finish team: "I feel my home is here at FUN. We have very good team-spirit, and I couldn't be happier in any other team. Last season was very hard for all of us, but that has just motivated us to push even harder this year, and I can't wait to get back to the track." Test-driver Yrjänä Vähäsöyrinki will also be driving in FV2 this season. The Finn says the situation is ideal for him: "I couldn't ask for a better position to be in. I get to learn a lot of stuff from our FV-team while also getting to race in FV2. I have also been promised some time behind the wheel of 4-FUN during the testing, so I wish the winter-testing was already here!" For the first time in their history, FUN will start the season without changes in their line-up. Diceman says this is a huge advance for the team: "It's really great to get the season going with familiar drivers in the team. Everyone knows each other and we have a great team-spirit. We have to fantastic drivers who can bring everything out of our car, as well as promising young test-driver in Vähäsöyrinki. It's really good position to be in." The winter testing will begin in 9 days. Before that, we can only keep guessing where will each team be on the grid.
