The result from the qualifying session for the 2022 United States eV-Prix. As we head into the final race weekend of the 2022 eVirtual World Championship, the three title hopefuls - Jochem van Snelheid, Alexander McLaughlin and Marcus Thunder - all hoped to get their cars as high up the grid as possible in Saturday's qualifying session. It was, in fact, Thunder's Downton teammate Kip Maxwell who ended the day fastest; the British driver claiming his first pole position since Monaco with a scintillating Q3 lap which left him over eight tenths clear of second placed Karl Beckenbauer. Felipe Cesar put in another good qualifying performance to line up third for Maserati. Behind the top three, Carson Davenport and the ARROW team were ecstatic with fourth place ahead of Thunder and OSM's Brzyski. Dominykas Zvironas, Sebastien Vocquelin, Jochem van Snelheid and Kiara Thunder rounded out the top ten. Further down; Kasami was pleased with a solid lap which sees him start fourteenth tomorrow, while Holzberg and Drake Davies were two other drivers happy with their performances. Nicolas Steffensen was visibly distraught to miss out on qualifying for the final race of the season, the Dane lapping just six hundredths shy of Davies' in the Thunderhead. Both Lamborghinis - as well as Hutchinson - also miss out for the final race of the season. Official timesheet and classification below: |
