The eVirtual 2021 season kicks off for real today as the first race of the season takes place today, the Australian eV-Prix around the Calder Park Thunderdome. Taylor starts on pole ahead of Maxwell, with Jaguar and Downton looking to pick up from last year.

The off-season is over. Pre-season testing has had its glory. Now it's time - after an action packed season last year which saw both title fights go down to the wire, it's time for the second ever eVirtual season to begin - with plenty of historic firsts.
Racing around the Calder Park Thunderdome, the first oval weekend of the series will take place with the Australia eV-Prix, with the only other oval running being that one day of pre season testing. And, of course, today saw the first ever running of the dreaded Q1. After the debut of ovals yesterday, the eV circus stayed at Indianapolis for the second day of testing, but instead of using the oval, it was the road course in action today. Sunny skies greeted the teams and there was a buzz around the paddock as the teams returned to familiar territory.
After a long off season while the FV cars took the main stage across the world, the other tier 1 virtual motorsport series has returned to action – it’s the start of the second ever eVirtual season. Today, the drivers and teams took part in a test session around the famous Indianapolis oval track, marking the first ever eV event around an oval.
