After a season of ups and downs, Porsche will start from the front of the grid for the first time ever, with Bergkvist. The fight between him and fellow front row starter McLaughlin promises to be entralling, while

Back to ovals, back to the Netherlands - for the first time since 2016, a tier 1 virtual motorsport series returns to the country. eVirtual rolled over to Venray Raceway for the 3rd of 4th oval races, and it saw yet another fascinating qualifying session.
Just like yesterday, it was a cold grey day for the Italian eV-Prix, taking place at Imola for the first time ever. But the weather couldn't take away from the fact that a cracking race was in store, as Steven Kasami starts on pole for K8ley.
A nice dry chilly day greated the drivers on the morning of qualifying for the Italian eV-Prix, but by the end one driver had brought the storm himself to the party, with a session to remember for the ages.
After battling with Downton's Maxwell for pole position, it's Maserati's Cesar who will lead the pack today for the first triple crown race of the season. The 121 lap race around Motegi takes place under some cloud cover and fairly cool temperatures - evident from the fact 18 of the 32 runners have gone for an aggressive battery mode. However a couple have opted for a balanced strategy, Maxwell and Vocquelin in particular but also both Arrow cars, both OSMs, Klien, Alaniz and Ledesma. And very much going against the grain are Yoshida, Agostino, both Thunderheads and al Shabbab, taking an efficient approach.
Today marked another important landmark in the history of the eVirtual World Championship, as the first ever triple crown session took place. Qualifying for the Japan 300 took place at Motegi, a return to an oval track for the first time after the season opening Australian eV-Prix. It also sees a return to the 4 lap average format of qualifying, with drivers doing 4 laps at a time and their average speed being taken.
After stroming to pole, the odds on favourite today is Downton's Maxwell, but there are plenty of challengers to him - the Jaguars looking to push forward with Taylor, while the likes of Arrow and OSM are looking to take advantage of their sudden upturn in pace. It's set to be a trilling race, not least thanks to the narrow streets of Macau - expect plenty of safety cars.
Precisely half the field went for soft tyres, the highest placed driver being van Snelheid, then Bergkvist. Taylor and Zozulya opted for mediums, along with both Lada's and Einarrson - Matthews, McLaughlin and Klien. 5 drivers decided to go for the extreme end of durability, including pole sitter Maxwell. Also on the hards were Hutchinson, Stokey, Vocquelin and Michiko. After dropping out of the Chinese eV-Prix thanks to mechanical gremlins, Kip Maxwell bounced back in the best way possible by taking another dominant pole, while just behind him Arrow boasted their best qualifying position ever and OSM had a storming session.
