After his dominating performance in qualifying, championship leader Maximilian Thunström lines up in pole position for the Monaco Million. He will be starting on the soft tyres along with the majority of the field. 11 drivers are running alternate strategies today. Both BMW’s and Opel’s as well as Matthews, Hudson and Addison are on mediums, with Raatikainen, Inman and the Lamborghini duo on hards. And yes, that is Olen Inman. In a move that slipped under the radar, Monaco’s finest virtual racing product is returning to action after 2 years on the sidelines. He is racing for Thunderhead, after the team grew impatient with Izaya Yuki’s poor performances. Inman will be hoping for greater success in his second comeback but he will have his work cut out for him from the penultimate row of the grid.

Qualifying for the second triple crown race of the season was a frantic affair at Monaco, read below how the session unfolded.
After an exciting qualifying session it’s Dominykas Zvironas on pole for the German eV-Prix at the Lausitzring. But with a packed field of challengers behind him, the fight for the win looks set to be fiercely competitive. With a second race in a row dawning cold and windy, nearly the entire field has chosen to use an Attacking power mode in the hopes of combating any potential tyre warm up issues. The exceptions were Jukka-Pekka Raatikainen, starting from the rear of the field on the Balanced power mode, and Drake Davies running an Efficient strategy.
As the European winter continues, the eVirtual championship moves to the EuroSpeedway Lausitz in Brandenburg, Germany. This race marks the halfway point in this year’s championship and with no clear favourite emerging for either title, there is still plenty at stake in Round 6.
Race day at Donington again dawned cold and cloudy. With the temperatures so low it was no surprise to see 19 of the 26 drivers on soft tyres for the race start. One exception was the polesitter, Aron Einarsson, who was joined by Roberts, di Stefano, Yoshida and Stefánsson. Only Addison and Vocquelin were attempting to make a single stint on the hard tyres work.
Round 5 of the eVirtual World Championship brings us to a cold and cloudy Donington Park. With 4 teams taking wins in the first 4 rounds and a further 3 taking pole positions, will we see more unpredictability at the top in Britain or can one of the title contenders return to the front?
Another cold morning dawned in Motegi for Round 4 of the eVirtual season and the first triple crown event of the 2023 season, the Japan 300. With cold temperatures making tyre warmup challenging, the top 10 starters all opted for an attacking 4 stop strategy. Further behind the BMW’s, Arrow’s and Hyundai’s chose to try a balanced strategy along Kruuda, Oliversson and Yuki. Unsurprisingly there were no drivers that were attempting the efficient strategy, seeing it as too risky in the single digit temperatures.
As the eVirtual season continues, the first Triple Crown event of the season looms on the horizon for the field. With double points on offer, the Japan 300 at Motegi is a big chance to bank some serious points. The development window has also just closed, and with teams bringing new updates to Japan we could see a shift in the pecking order today.
