A wet track greeted the drivers as they made there way onto track for qualifying of the last Triple Crown race of the season. Q1The rain continued to fall through Q1, albeit lightly, but nonetheless giving the drivers tricky conditions to deal with. Whilst there were a couple of errors as drivers ran wide and spun, it was Agostino who was most caught out, spinning at the corkscrew and getting stuck in the gravel early on, consigning him to last on the grid. The car was cleared under a red flag and the drivers returned to track after, with Brzyski ending up quickest by some four tenths of a second. Roberts put in a great showing at his home race ahead of Garcia, whilst Raatikainen got the better of Hyundai team mate Addison to also go through. di Stefano made it two Maserati's whilst Inman just bumped Christodoulou out of qualifying, with Vocquelin, Addison, Campos, Davies and Agostino joining the Greek driver at the back of the grid. Q2The weather started to turn as drivers headed out in Q2, with the rain stopping, resulting in a drying track. It was Championship contenders Barclay and Thunstrom who mastered the conditions best to top the times, with fellow rival Zozulya also making it through. Things didn't go quite so well for last time race winner Sam Hudson, who ended up twelfth, just behind Kip Maxwell. Q3By the time drivers were setting final times in Q3, the track had a clear dry line. Aron Einarsson utilised his Renault the best to become the first driver with two pole positions this season, whilst a stellar effort from rookie Urmo Kruuda sees him join Einarsson on the front row. de la Fuente was a great P3 for Arrow but will start down in eighth after both the teams cars were handed 5-place grid penalties for a second missed strategy deadline, promoting Barclay to third, whilst Thunstrom and Zozulya could only manage seventh and ninth respectively.
