Luke Stokey took his first IndyVirtual pole position in a severely delayed qualifying session ahead of the Jaguar British 250 at Rockingham Motor Speedway oval in a home front row lockout with compatriot Will Taylor. Persistent rain delayed the session for just over three hours before the cars took to the track, with Stokey looking competitive from the off as he looked to bounce back from a run of recent poor form - having finished the last three races outside of the top ten - while Taylor's second place continues Rodeo Racing's sole entrants run of fantastic form.
Brock Kidd - who sought to get his season back on track last time out in France as he dominated the weekend - was once again strong here with third, sharing the second row with Yakumi Takahashi ahead of a surprise row three in Aron Einarsson and Jawa Ahmad. Keith Murphy, Felipe Cesar, Didier Arnaud and Jamie Gerrard completed an unusual top in a session which surprisingly saw no incidents, while the two drivers clear at the top of the championship - Nick Addison and Marcus Thunder - could only manage the sixth row, Thunder ahead of the Australian. Enzo Domenicalli also struggled, the Italian only managing eighteenth place. Further rain is forecast for tomorrow which could see the race delayed, or even pushed back to Monday if conditions do not improve enough to allow racing to take place on the Rockingham oval.
