Grip Autosport have become the final team to unveil their line-up for the inaugural 2017 IndyVirtual season, with three former Formula Virtual drivers heading their charge for glory.
In an anticipating atmosphere at the Texas A&M University in College Station, TX, it was announced that Drake Davies would jump ship to the new IndyVirtual series from FV2. The Bahamian driver won the final 2 sprint races of the season in the 2016 season alongside a podium in Spain.
Davies was part of the Lopez Youth Academy before Swedish driver Viktor Ӧstberg was retained with the team as test and reserve driver, and goes to America in strong form after his late run of form in FV2. There had been speculation that the Aggies team would enter a second car for the 3 triple crown events at Motegi, Monaco and Laguna Seca, but these rumours are beginning to die down as we get closer to the beginning of the season. |
