The biggest news to come from the launch is the takeover of CopaMundo. The team will now take on an Italian nationality under the name Scuderia Stars, but will continue to use Jaguar as a manufacturer. Mikko Heininen will drive car #6, with Dino Palma alongside in #23. To couple with that, organisers have confirmed that every team will have a home race in 2018. As a result Autódromo Miguel E. Abed will host the first Mexican round of the series, while IndyVirtual will also debut in the Netherlands at Zandvoort and Italy with Imola. No Triple Crown entrants have yet been confirmed.
