Brock Kidd became the first American to lead a day of IndyVirtual pre-season testing as he topped the standings for American Engineering ahead of five drivers who all tied with the same maximum speed. On a day that was considerably calmer than yesterday - just one red flag today caused by Michal Kubat - the most running of any test day so far took place with five drivers tying for the second fastest speed. Brock Kidd reached a maximum speed of 227mph, some 5.2mph slower than Lewis Ellington managed yesterday while Marcus Thunder, Felipe Cesar, Ellington himself, Drake Davies and Will Taylor all hit 226.2mph. All eleven drivers that participated in the test today were within 3mph of each other, prompting further hopes of a close and competitive season with just one day of pre-season testing remaining.
