With a stunning effort it was Andrey Kerzhakov who took a startling pole position at Monza in FV2 Qualifying. With the teams going all out on little to no aero setups, it was 2nd placed man Felix Perez who set the fastest time in the speed trap. Although he was fastest through Sectors 1 and 3, a small moment in Lesmo 1 on his final run all but cost him pole position. His Kanaan GP teammate Oleksandr Zozulya didn't quite find the right balance in setup and racing line as he stumbles to 15th on the grid, by worst qualifying session of the season. He could be expected to struggle to cope with the intense heat hitting Milan this weekend, with some forecasts suggesting the air temp could feel like it's 40 degrees. Zozulya wasn't the only top-line driver who struggled. Rodolfo de la Fuente also had a troubled session as he only managed to qualify in 13th position on the grid. He was also complaining about the intense heat, like many whilst they were travelling around at speed. Behind Kerzhakov and Perez will be Ryan, Vasquez, and the 2 men in rich form, Ostberg and Toivonen who both won the races last time out in Belgium. Ikram Aliyev continued on from his last laps at Spa to qualify 8th behind Alvarez, while Brittany Johnson made it 2 top 10 qualifying sessions in a row. Full Results below:
