As an ocean of rain flooded the Spa-Francorchamps circuit, it was Viktor Ostberg back to his best from 16th on the grid, scoring his first win in FV2 since his last visit to Spa in September 2016. The race was nothing short of chaotic as the rain got heavier as the race went on, causing some big names to retire.

On a dreary day in the Ardennes Forest it was Mexican Felix Perez who made hay to gather his 2nd pole of the season. The feat makes him the only driver this season thus far to obtain both multiple poles and wins.
Andrey Kerzhakov became the 9th winner of 10 races as he dominated a Sprint Race shortened by 2 laps at Silverstone. Behind him however, for the first time in FV2 history, the top 4 finishers from the Feature Race failed to finish the sprint race, due to a chaotic finish fueled by 2 oil spills on the start/finish line.
In a race riddled with incidents, it was Hunter Ryan who pulled 3 overtakes in a lap, allowing him to go on and win his first race of 2017. Further back, a remarkable 5 out of the 8 retirements were gearbox related issues, including big names like Viktor Ostberg and Rodolfo de la Fuente
Following the Ukrainian's strong run of recent results, he came in with the final lap of the session to snatch pole by just under 2 tenths of a second over championship leader James Vasquez, who had lead for the majority of the session on a lovely British summer's day.
