Charlotte, North Carolina – Andromeda and FIRST have agreed terms that will see drivers Will Hoskins and Oleksandr Zozulya swap seats for the Spanish V-Prix. This is following FIRST team principal Adam Blocker’s criticism of both of his drivers immediately after the French V-Prix. In contrast, Will Hoskins has received nothing but praise from the paddock this season with several impressive performances this season including scoring Andromeda’s first point in Malaysia. We were fortunate to get statements from both team principals on the situation: FIRST Team Principal Adam Blocker: “I am looking forward to this weekend. We are confident in our car’s ability and we are looking to evaluate the performances of both Felix Perez and Oleksandr Zozulya. We felt the best way to do this is to bring in a known quality driver in the form of Will Hoskins to gauge where our car is capable of running. The performances of all of the drivers this weekend will shape our driver lineup decisions going forward. I’d like to thank Andromeda for working with us to put this deal together.”
Andromeda Team Principal Hector Seibel: “The point that Hoskins scored in Malaysia gave us some security in the constructors’, so when the chance came to give Hoskins a chance to race in an objectively better car for one race, we were willing to take it. In the end, if Hoskins gets a good result and comes back with some extra confidence that will only help us. And for Jerez we will get Oleksandr Zozulya, who is a solid driver that hopefully will put in a good performance."
