As of next season the teams will be forced to run V12 engines at the back of their cars. This change is rumored to be the first of many regulation changes for next season. Running with V8 engines for the first and current season, it is all set to change next season when the teams will run V12 engines. The moves comes after it was suggested the series wanted to give more back the fans and give them what they have been asking for.
"The teams will race with V12's next season which is very exiting. Already I think season three will be huge just because some of the challenges and changes the teams will be faced with. The current V8's are mighty fine but as a series we want to keep improving. We want to hear twenty four V12 powered Formula One cars roar around Albert Park next season", said Nic Morley. "The sound will be immense. Not only are we just moving up to the V10's, we're going all the way and skipping to the V12's. It will be interesting to see which engine manufactures will produce and how they will work together with other teams", finished Nic Morley. Notable in the statement Nic Morley mentioned some of the changes teams will be facing next season. It will be interesting to find out what these changes turn out to be as the current season progresses.
