Enrique Ruiz led the way in practice for the Turkish V-Prix ahead of Klaas van Snelheid, Tumo Kinnumen and Nathaniel Powers, with the four drivers from the two teams vying for the Constructors' Championship split by less than a tenth of a second. The quartet all enjoyed untroubled sessions and remained close throughout, ending up half a second clear of Adrien Simon's DS Mathershaw, the Frenchman being the only driver to win in Turkey in the three years so far that the series has visited the country. Lewis Ellington continued to impress with sixth ahead of Felix Perez and the second DS Mathershaw of Allar Kangur, while the pair of Argentine's rounded out the top ten - Mario Juan Lopez ahead of Sergio Alvarez's Phoenix. Thierry Xylander was barely half a tenth behind his team mate while Johan Halvosen also lapped quicker than the second FIRST of Oleksandr Zozulya, as Rodolfo de la Fuente led the 2019 'new teams' battle in fifteenth ahead of Nikolai Milkovich. Viktor Ostberg showed an upturn in pace for Lopez with seventeenth while Carson Davenport put his Lucas a strong nineteenth, but a surprising lack of pace from Will Hoskins saw him languishing at the foot of the time sheets, ahead only of the two drivers who failed to set a time; Elroy Wagner and James Vasquez. The former World Champion was dawdling on his first outlap and drifted aimlessly across the track while changing a steering wheel setting, leaving Vasquez with nowhere to go apart from into the back of the Lopez. With two damaged cars stranded on the track the session was momentarily red flagged, as an embarrassed Wagner kept his helmet on to return to the pits. See below for full practice classification:
