The team itself has rather big ambitions as we plan on creating a brand which fans can easily associate themselves with but we also wish to create and develop a racing dynasty", said Miyamoto. ”As for the drivers, we at the team have considered many options and have discussed closely with the board in Tokyo about particular targets who we consider to be strong candidates to lead the team’s forward in the upcoming season. We hope together to create a strong car and hope to be a threat to our rivals in the series", finished off Rai Miyamoto. Formula Virtual CEO Nic Morley also gave his thoughts on Ocelot Japan Racing joining the series. "I am very happy to accept Rai and Formula Ocelot Japan into the Formula Virtual as of next year. Rai has shown a lot of interest in the series for a while now, particular from running his junior team, Formula Ocelot. This team will add something new to the series next year, and I for one am exited for it", said Morley. "I want to say thank you to all of the applications I received from various people, I appreciate it immensely, but in the end there was only one spot available. All I can say is never give up. We will enter next year with twelve teams, the same with Team 23 leaving and Ocelot making their debut. I wish Ocelot Japan Racing the very best of luck and look forward to seeing them on the track in pre season testing", finished off Nic Morley. During the press conference it was also announced that the team's official constructor name will be simply Ocelot, with the full name being Ocelot Japan Racing.
