North Star Racing have become the latest team to reveal their 2017 Formula Virtual challenger, the NSR-V02, in an online launch ceremony.
The launch was preceded by a short address from team principal Nick Forrest, in which he thanked the team for their efforts in 2016. "Our performance was far better than we had expected back in our first pre-season test," he told those watching, "And I think we proved ourselves as the best of the new teams on the track, even if that wasn't borne out in the final standings."
Forrest also took the time to praise the work of BMW, whose new MPE-17 engine, again tuned by the team's technical partners in Magna International, will power the car this season. "I'm pleased to say our relationship with BMW remains as strong as ever, and with the introduction of Shell as our fuel partner this year, we believe that - as close as the field is expected to be this season - North Star can still make significant strides forward."
Drivers Judson Sikes and Aleksy Nowosinki will each spend time behind the wheel of the NSR-V02 during pre-season testing, when the car hits the tarmac for the first time.
