After a season fraught with problems for the IJGPC, including cutting the calendar down to 10 races and the loss of Peurteor halfway through, there have also been problems for the management. The promotor said: 'We had the idea for the IJGPC, and I set about beginning it immediately. Unfortunately, my desire to set the series up as quickly as possible meant we had too little time to do a good job, which has made some of my work look foolish, and I want people to see this series and be impressed. If we are honest, I should have waited until Season 2 to begin this championship, giving plenty of time to properly prepare.'
'It is the small things that make a series as much as the big things, and we have addressed the large issues - smaller calendars and splitting into two series - but I am also working on the whole race experience. The standings and results have previously been shown on simple text documents, which looked a bit scrappy. Now, however, I have designed some new on screen graphics that will inform the viewers and teams of what is going on, but also will look better and be kinder on the eye.'
