Ocelot Team Principle Rai Miyamoto has confirmed at the post race interview following the results of United States Grand Prix, the rumours in regards to Ocelot's 2017 car.
''Yes, it's unfortunate that these rumours are true. We have had some trouble in developing the car for next year. So it's looking rather likely we will be back where we started. This of course is rather depressing to hear in regards to all the hard work which has been put in by the team, sponsors and the fans. We are looking forward to however developing the car as much as possible but at the moment I can't say we are looking at moving forward for in terms of 2017.'' ''Things were looking rather positive at the start of this season, however once the new developments arrived we fell towards the back again, I can't say it's been a year with failed however it can not be regarded as a success and as I started before unfortunately we've misjudged the field for the next season especially with the small crisis of needing a loan urgently earlier in this season.'' ''But with the rules changing in 2018, we should hopefully look for a better result then, however I don't want the fans to lose hope just yet with 2017. We have two incredible youngster in the junior series in Australian; Ryan Hunter and our home grown driver Ryota Yoshida. Who are both key drivers we are looking at promoting when the time is right.''
