It has been confirmed that Michelin and Firestone will supply tires to the teams as of 2015. It was confirmed last year that Bridgestone would be leaving the series; now the company's replacements have been revealed. The French company Michelin and the American company Firestone will debut in Formula Virtual next year.
"The series will have two tire suppliers this year which is very exiting. Firesone and Michelin are two great companies with a lot of racing pedigree shared between them. There were quite a few tire supplier companies interested in Formula Virtual but in the end Firestone and Michelin were chosen. In the end it will be up to the individual team on what tire supplier to with", said Nic Morley. For the first two years of the series the race title has been known as 'Grand Prix'. From 2015 onwards the race title will now officially be known as 'V-Prix' Nic Morley has confirmed. "By popular demand and votes within the sport, we will now announce race as V-prix rather than Grand Prix. So an obvious example is the upcoming Australian V-prix rather than the Australian Grand Prix. It's a nice change and gives the series more character and uniqueness", finished Nic Morley.
