The launch of the AMR-FV-2 has been delayed by almost a week, the team has confirmed.
A spokeswoman for Lufthansa AMR has described the situation as "stressful", after a major server hardware failure forced the team onto the backfoot.
"We've had some sort of failure with the factory's server equipment, and it's taken quite some time to get the system repaired and back online. All our hard work has been badly delayed as a result".
While no critical data has been lost, the lengthy repair times and burden of getting the system back up once more have taken their toll. The team have confirmed, however, that they are still on track to begin testing in Portugal next weekend.
"Our great efforts will ensure we are on track at Estoril next Friday, hopefully with a bit of colour too," stated team owner and overseer Petersen on Wednesday. "These things happen and we are always well-prepared to take action when they do."
"We are looking forward to moving ahead with our new chassis, and putting the new configurations through their paces."
