Rumours have suggested that LWGP and Wilson Oils have been accused of enhancing their race oil for performance gains.
Wilson Oils owner and founder, Lucas Wilson has been accused of enhancing his race oil to further his F1 Race team, Lucas Wilson GP.
The team, rather understandably, is the only team on the F1FV grid that provides its own oil. This raised many concerns which finally came to the fore on the Austrian GP weekend, when the team had one of its best races on record, even holding off championship leader, Nathaniel Powers, for many laps.
Press have been stating that a couple of teams on the grid have been wondering if this is to do with the enhancing of the petrol run by the team.
Lucas Wilson provided a statement this morning to the worlds press at the Belgian GP: "I can't believe people are thinking that we would enhance our own petrol, its is ludicrous. Wilson Oils is not bending the rules with the oil we use. Our oil is examined every race by FVIA officials and its the same as Shell and all the other Oil companies"
Who do we believe in this matter? The team will have a meeting with the race council on Friday and then it will be revealed if the rumours are true.
