Lucas V-Prix revealed their challenger at the 02 Arena in London, England tonight. The glitzy display, which featured many famous faces from the world of film, television and sport, was hosted by the teams owner Lucas Wilson. He said on stage that he believes the car will 'propel the team further up the grid with it's most advanced design yet'. The guests of Honour at the event were the Duke & Duchess of Sussex. Prince Harry and Meghan Markle shared a photo with Lucas and the car on stage during what will be one of their final visits in the country as Royals. Also on the front row was new team partner Alex Easton. The Lucas V-Prix team had formed an alliance with the small British outfit late last year. The covers of the car were taken off by models Kate Upton and Victoria Justice next to a very proud team owner. Lucas said during a post event interview "I believe this is the best car we have ever built, I think the team is stronger than ever. I just cant wait for the pre-season tests where we can really put her to the test. See if she is as fast as she looks! We have two great drivers in Thunder and of course Big Carson who gave us a great sixth place finish at the Brazilian V-Prix last year. That's the sort of performance we are wanting throughout the season. We want that consistency to run in the midfield" Formula Virtual News also managed to get a word with the two drivers. Marcus Thunder: "I have been given a second chance, I don't intend to mess it up. I think we have a much stronger package this year and I hope we can get some consistent points with the car" Carson Davenport: "I am very happy with the Lucas car, when I test in factory, at the Lucas factory, it was very nice in the simulator. I think we have good, strong package for the next season of the Formula Virtual. For sure, our competitors have also gotten more strong but I think we can have some good results" Also at the crowded event was the teams second in command. Co-founder and Technical Director Andy Davies. "Just really echoing what Lucas said on stage. I think we have a really good car this year. We fixed a lot of problems from last year. We wanted to make this car, the LW-5, a very simple car underneath. We wanted to be able to adapt it as much as possible to whatever track we are at. Make it easy to set it up for the drivers and find the balance with the car. This is the first time in a while I have designed the car with Carson whose feedback is just incredible. He really knows how to set up a car. Also the Phoenix cars, we have been talking a lot. You know they are a strong team and they have definitely given us some pointers as well. So I think a lot to look forward to this year" Finally, we managed to get a few words from Alex Easton, Phoenix Team Principal: "What an amazing event, I've had a great time here tonight. The whole night has just epitomised what Lucas is all about with the glitz, glamour, and flair that we all love so much about his team. The livery itself is absolutely gorgeous and I feel really blends together the best bits about Lucas' best liveries over the years, if the chassis itself is even as half as good as it looks then I reckon Lucas, Andy, and everyone are in for a much better season with hopefully some really memorable moments. The partnership between our two teams is such an exciting thing for everyone involved and now I just can't wait to get to France next week!" Below: The Lucas V-Prix LW-5
