Lucas V-Prix has confirmed this evening that it has signed Marcus Thunder as its 2nd driver for next season. Marcus has been driving in Indy this year with the Formation team after many years in Formula Virtual.
"We are delighted to have Marcus joining us as a driver for next season. Marcus brings with him a long history of developing cars and is excellent at buying quality liquor - so it was really a win-win for us. We look forward to our collaboration in the 2019 season which I am sure will bear fruitful results" - Lucas Wilson, Team Principal & Founder - Lucas V-Prix. "I am so grateful for Lucas to give me another shot at FV and with the most exciting team on the grid as well! This has been a great career move for me and I look forward to working with all the guys at the factory to bring a good solid car to the first race of the season." Thunder's current team principal - IndyVirtual's Formation Competition boss Louis Vasseur - had the following to say: "Marcus has spent two fantastic seasons with us and it will be a shame to see him go. But an opportunity for him to return to Formula Virtual - that he was keen to take - appeared and we could never stand in his way. We wish him all the best in his Formula Virtual endeavours and hope we can finish this current IndyVirtual season strong to send him on his way." The team has also confirmed its reserve driver for the 2019 season as Jules Barclay. More info on this to follow. Comments are closed.
