Downton F1 have announced that Kiara Thunder will run in practice sessions for the remainder of the season, and the majority of sessions next season after her win in the Macau Grand Prix.
This season Kiara will run in place of her brother Marcus in Japan and Mexico, and in place of Nathaniel Powers in Brazil.
While next year, she will participate in every practice session at venue's that are not new, or street/road circuits. The driver she replaces will change each session she runs in.
Kiara said of the news, 'I'm thrilled Downton are giving me this opportunity. While my main focus next season is winning the IJGPC title, it'll be brilliant to get up to speed in a Formula Virtual car and learn the majority of the tracks.'
Downton also commented, 'Kiara has proved she is more than capable in the cockpit of a single seater car. Her performances in the simulator have been most impressive, and her win in Macau was mighty. We're very much looking forward to seeing how she performs and also seeing what kind of feedback she gives.'
