FUN FV have confirmed that their new singing Will Hoskins will replace Romano Agostino for the rest of the season. The announcement came just hours after their historical podium in France.
"First of all, I'd like to once again welcome Will Hoskins to FUN. Will is a driver who has experience from the very best teams on the grid, and we are super excited to have signed a driver of his caliber. I'd also like to thank Romano Agostino for everything he has done for FUN. He has been very professional, and this wasn't an easy choice to make, but we feel it's better if he takes a break from racing. And last but not least, we'd like to congratulate Carson for his fantastic race in France, you have made the whole team proud!" Will Hoskins, who made a surprise jump to FUN from Westwood, feels confident about his chances wiht FUN: "I really enjoyed my time at Westwood, but now is time for new challenges and I'm very happy to start a new adventure at FUN. I believe this team has a huge potential, as Davenport showed just hours ago, and it's a privilege to be a part of this project. We look forward to challenge for a top-5 spot in the constructors championship, and I believe we have a bright future ahead of us." We tried to get a comment from Agostino, but he didn't answer to our phone-calls or e-mails. Hoskins will drive his first race with FUN in Spain. FUN, who were nowhere in the first 4 races, currently lie in 7th place in the constructors table. Will Hoskins lead them to more success or was France just a one lucky podium? We will get the first answers in the next race in Spain!
