Puccio Giodano continued his and Ocelot's recent strong run of form with the fastest time in practice for the Turkish V-Prix, albeit just half a tenth of a second quicker than Adrien Simon. After two visits the Frenchman is the only driver to have won around the Istanbul Park circuit so enters the weekend as firm favourite, but Giodano's strong pace in practice shows Ocelot look likely to challenge again. The Downton pair of Nathaniel Powers and Klaas van Snelheid were next up ahead of Allar Kangur, the last of the drivers within half a second of the fastest time. Enrique Ruiz was sixth ahead of Ocelot debutee Tumo Kinnumen and team mate Olen Inman, with James Vasquez leading Will Hoskins instead of his team mate to complete the top ten. In fact Jean Mattson failed to set a time at all, as a re-occurrence of the hydraulics problems that plagued him in Germany returned. Felix Beyer lapped three tenths slower than his Holmqvist team mate but was still ahead of both Phoenix and Lopez cars, while a good lap from Felix Perez saw him split the North Stars. Jules Simon also starred - just days after it was announced he'd be demoted to reserve driver at Meteor in 2019 - by lapping quicker than both AMR's and Oleksandr Zozulya in the FIRST.
