Finland's Ultimate Nordic FV Team - better known as FUN - have announced they will leave Formula Virtual at the end of the current 2017 season. This means the team have just three races left - including this weekends United States V-Prix - before they pack up shop. Team principal Dick Diceman released the following statement:
"After some thinking I have decided that FUN FV will retire from the series after the current season. My life has become quite busy lately (in a positive way), and I feel it’s time to give the spot for someone who can put more time and effort into the series. It has been really awesome 5 seasons, and I’d like to thank Nic and all team-principals, both current and former ones, for making this series what it is today. Special thanks to Bradley, Harry and everyone else who have been doing the incredible commentaries. I’ll still keep an eye on the events of the series whenever I can. I hope you will have many more fantastic seasons in the future." FUN's sudden departure leaves a spot empty for a new team to join the series in 2018, but it also leaves Olen Inman and Carson Davenport - who is one of only six drivers to have participated in every race in Formula Virtual history - without drives for the upcoming season.
