A series of photographs of the 2017 AMR have surfaced online this evening, depicting AMR test and reserve driver Jarod Lindsey putting the first miles into the new chassis for Felix Beyer at a PR event from Phillip Island.
Initially set for a Sunday run, the team decided to run the new challenger a day early, with a full livery launch to arrive soon after. Photographers were quick to capture the blue and gold Lufthansa-derived livery as Lindsey put in several laps following a successful installation run.
"It really does feel quick," commented a breathless Lindsey as he parked the car afterwards. "There's a definite step up from last year's thing. You can really feel it glue in the long turns. They've put a lot of work into the aero. I think it's a bit faster on the straights as well by the feel. Great stuff."
A full press release of the 2017 livery is scheduled for tomorrow afternoon, following a filming session.
