Having recently taken over the running of he IJGP Championship, Bradley Downton has today announced changes to the way teams enter the Championship as of 2015.
VGPC teams will no longer be allowed their own teams in the IJGP however will be allowed to link up with any one of teams who are competing.
Downton gave reason for this change as, 'This stops teams creating two brilliant drivers every year. All teams will be independent, however VGPC teams will be given a chance to link up with an IJGP team. To allow every team the choice of this, the number of teams allowed in the IJGP has been extended to twelve.'
'If a team chooses to do this they will be allowed to pick any one of the current list of VGPC, IJGP and EJGP drivers to race in one seat of the team they are linked with, while the other driver will be chosen by the team. This will be done by an independent party.'
'All teams - whether linked with an IJGP team or not - will also get the opportunity each year to create one new driver who will be entered into the EJGP.'
'I hope everyone is happy with these changes. I'm not just trying to take control out of everyone's hands but instead I'm trying to ensure that current drivers are not just instantly replaced by younger drivers who have been made amazing.'

- AutoInternational (ESP) (Will also run in EJGP)
- Formation Competition (MON) (Will also run in EJGP, linked with Downton)
- Higgs Grand Prix (AUS) (Will also run in EJGP)
- Holmqvist (SWE) (New team)
- Johnstone Race Engineering (GBR) (New team)
- Lapierre Formule (FRA) (Will also run in EJGP, linked with Mathershaw)
- Morley Development Racing (AUS) (Run by Nic, his discretion as to link with anyone)
- MotoTecnia (MEX) (New team)
- Point Cook Racing (GBR) (Continuing team, Dylan Lopez gets first refusal on link)
- Signature Performance (CAN) (Will also run in EJGP)
- Sportiva Brasilierao (BRA) (New team)
The 2015 calendar has also been announced and will follow all European and North American rounds of the Championship as well as the continuation of the stand-alone event at Zandvoort:
