Elroy Wagner has been confirmed as Team 23's second driver for 2014. With Jean Mattson already confirmed, this completes the Dutch team's line-up. During a specially organized press conference, team principal Andae d'Hazorme said: "I'm very excited to announce Elroy Wagner as our driver for 2014. He hasn't really had the reliability this year, or the luck, but he has been quick in every single race this year. That's why we have chosen to retain him as our driver." Elroy Wagner is currently sixth in the championship. The German driver has started from pole position three times, but is still looking for his first ever victory. Wagner himself was "sehr froh" with the announcement: "A team as good as Team 23 needs a driver that is extremely talented, and I think I'm the perfect candidate for that. So I agree with Andae when he says he is excited to announce me as their driver for next year." The relationship between d'Hazorme and Wagner came under strain when the team principal called Wagner a 'tit' following his crash at the Canadian Grand Prix. But the German said the air had been cleared between them. "No, it's all good. I mean, I still don't agree with his observation, because I don't look like a small bird - nor do I look like the other meaning of that word - but hey, we all know he's a much better driver than me. Isn't that right, Andae?" which was followed by an awkward silence. During the press conference, the team also confirmed their current test driver, Jacinto van Slooten, for 2014.

It's a good thing Team 23 are sticking with a line up that has proven successful this season. Loving the new logo.
