It was yet another warm and sunny day at Estoril, Portugal. The second test day granted the teams another opportunity to gather as much data as possible for the upcoming season. After displaying impressive pace yesterday, DS Mathershaw have showed frighting pace today as both their drivers locked out the top two fastest times. Kip Maxwell led race regular Adrien Simon by five one thousandth of a second. The French licensed team opted for the soft tyres' during the second day of testing. Jean Mattson and Ingram were the teams closest challenger, albeit running the super soft tyre compound. Jochem van Snelheid received his first opportunity to drove this years Lopez; the Dutchman edging out the second Ingram of Nikolai Milkovich for fourth fastest. Lopez used the the same tyre compound as DS, softs', but just under a second off the pace. 2015 FV2 champion, Kiara Thunder, got her first opportunity to drive this years Ocelot. The Japanese team elected to run the medium tyre compound and thus were just under two seconds off the fastest time. Reigning FV drivers champion, Elroy Wagner, drove this years Franklin for the first time. The German manged the seventh quickest time while running the Medium tyre; half a tenth of Kiara Thunders' time. Jarod Lindsey resumed testing for AMR, setting the eighth quickest time of the day two. The Australian team this time using the soft tyre compound. Johan Halvosen and Meteor elected to use the Hard tyre compound for the day. The team looked impressive with a time two seconds off the pace, albeit using the hardest tyre compound available. The FUN pair of Romano Agostino and Yrjana Vahasoyrinki were tenth and eleventh quickest, both using the medium tyre compound. Arden Hutchinson lapped the FIRST to twelfth fastest, using the soft tyre compound. The Downton pair of Nathaniel Powers and Marcus Thunder were thirteenth and fourteen fastest, using the hard tyre compound and three seconds off the pace. Aleksy Nowosinki set the fifteenth fastest time of the session; North Star opting to use the medium tyre for the today's test. Tumo Kinnumen and Westwood set the slowest time of the day, albeit using the hard tyre compound once again. Testing will resume tomorrow where conditions are expected to be warm and sunny once again.
