It has been yet another eyebrow raising by Carson Davenport who has taken his second pole position in succession. More notably was how Lucas Wilson Grand Prix have came to to fore, with Hugh Dwyer qualifying in third; less than a tenth behind his pole sitting teammate. While the Lucas Wilson drivers will line up first and third on the grid, Elroy Wagner will split them setting the second fastest time. Team 23's other driver and leading championship hope Jean Mattson qualified in fourth. Last round winner Adrien Simon fastest lap placed him in fifth ahead of Nathaniel Powers, Karl Beckenbauer, and Will Hoskins. Romano Agostino looks set for yet another points finish for Meteor as the Italian set the ninth fastest time. Ingram's new driver and future Franklin driver Enrique Ruiz set an very impressive tenth fastest lap time. The top ten were covered by five tenths of a second. While qualifying endured sunny conditions, rain is expected in time for the race. Wet weather looks likely to add to an already unpredictable race. Can Carson Davenport and Lucas Wilson make amends after Italy and take victory? Is Elroy Wagner well placed to take the lead from Davenport and win the race, or can Mattson close further in on Powers in the drivers championship?
