AMR have announced the re-signing of Dutch driver Felix Beyer, who will remain with the team for another two seasons, under a new contract signed before the Belgian V-Prix last weekend.
”It’s a great team we have here, and I think we’re really moving upwards in terms of pace and competitiveness,” stated Felix after another points near-miss at Spa. ”I’m glad to be a part of that process, and he (Ryan Petersen) has a lot of faith in my ability, which helps the morale a bit, too!”
”We see a highly driven and competitive driver in Felix, and were very glad to see him renew his position with AMR,” said team owner Petersen in response. ”I think he showcased that skill in Hockenheim, and I also believe we're yet to see his best.”
”Now we just have to provide him with the car that highlights that edge!” he added.
With one half of the line-up confirmed, attention turns to who will secure the second AMR seat. While Hiroto Nakumaya leads Beyer in the points standings, his somewhat brazen driving has fed rumours that his seat may not be safe for next season.
