Karl Beckenbauer has set the fastest lap of the penultimate day of testing in Jerez. This marks the second time in three test sessions where Liverpool Grand Prix have set the best time. In a very busy session all the teams were eager to pocket some laps in the second last Pre season test of the season. It was once again a sunny day, and once again Liverpool Grand Prix have risen to the top. Karl Beckenbauer set a fastest time of 1.29.075 for the session and all of Pre season testing so far. Unlike the opening two sessions, Liverpool's main challenger was Franklin F1. Enrique Ruiz set the second fastest time, however was over two tenths slower behind the Liverpool. While Liverpool continue to raise eyebrows in the paddock, Ingram Grand Prix also managed to pull out a surprise. Nikolai Milkovich set the third fastest time of test in his final day of Pre season testing. Scuderia Rossi looked very fast, however could only manage fourth today in the hands of test driver Manni Costello. Downton F1 Team continued to improve, this time setting the fifth fastest time in the hands of reigning world champion Nathaniel Powers. Kurtis Gardner got his first taste of the LW-2GP while setting the sixth fastest time of the session for Lucas Grand Prix. Team 23 improved from yesterday but could still only manage the seventh fastest lap time in the hands of test driver Jarod Lindsey. Fun F1 were eighth quickest with Romano Agostino behind the wheel, showing a slight decrease from yesterday's performance. Force Australia impressed again with Hiroto Nakumaya setting the tenth fastest lap time. It was another disappointing session for Westwood Racing as Keith Boston could only go eleventh quickest. James Harding was twelfth fastest for Warrior Racing notable setting the exact same lap time as yesterday. With just one more Pre season test to go, the teams are running out of time to fine tune their cars before the season opener in Australia in just over a weeks time. Adrien Simon will wrap up testing for Liverpool tomorrow with Hugh Dwyer testing for Fun. Felix Beyer will test for Force Australia while Puccio Giodano will take back over at Scuderia Rossi. Earlier testing for Liverpool, Kip Maxwell will jump in the Downton cockpit tomorrow. Lewis Ellington will take over at Peugeot, Kinnumen at Westwood, Kubat at Warrior, and Mattson hoping to be a saving grace for Team 23. Kurtis Gardner will continue testing for Lucas, Hoskins for Franklin, and Diego Campos for Ingram Grand Prix.
