At a small unveiling and demonstration run at Phillip Island, the F1FVGPC debutants for next season have launched their 2014 challenger, the FAU01 chassis, complete with next season's racing colours, as well as confirming that Alaniz will be racing alongside Felix Beyer for the small Australian team. The media conference was screened live via online feeds for global participants to also take part, as the FAU01 was run for several demonstrations laps around the Phillip Island circuit late this afternoon afterwards. The stunning blue and yellow livery complimented both lead sponsors Intel and BMW, as well as German banking institution Commerzbank, who also showed interest in the new contenders. "It is with great pride that we can announce that Gerard has opted to race for us in the upcoming season" exclaimed Petersen, following contract negotiations once it transpired that Alaniz was without a race seat for the rest of the season due to financial restrictions. "We have two highly experienced drivers at the wheel, which will no doubt prove to be hugely beneficial as we shape up the the 2014 competition. Both Felix and Gerard are settling in well with our race department and team members, and look ahead to what will hopefully be a bright season to come!" With Force Australia completing their line-up, the team is in full swing with research and development to ensure their 2014 season commences without too many setbacks.
