Regi Abott and Ivan Lesic have completed the 2014 TSB-Team Peugeot line up, as confirmed today.
The team have confirmed that Regi Abott will take the second drive alongside Lewis Ellington for next season. Regi Abott has only raced once this season, but still impressed with a podium. Abott was expected to sign for Molto Veloce for next season, it is believed the Peugeot beat them to it. Abott is believed to have signed a lucrative deal with the squad late last week after swiftly entering negotiations the week prior.
A statement from Abott, 'I am thrilled to be joining Peugeot for 2014. Peugeot are a big name and I hope I will be part of their success. I believe that I proved I had potential in the one race I entered. I am very grateful to Kazuki Armos for giving me the chance.'
A statement from Armos, 'We have been watching Regi for some time now, we now believe he is ready for the permanent race. He has plenty of potential and he is a young driver. We hope he will be here for years to come'.
Former Mathersaw test driver, Ivan Lesic has also jumped ship, joining Peugeot for next season. The team are rumoured to be offering each of their test drivers one race in the season each in order to prove their potential in the team. It is believed this chance of racing experience is what attracted Lesic to the team. It is unconfirmed as to whether Lesic will continue to race for sister Mathershaw teams after joining Peugeot.
Armos later continued, 'We have a large test driver line up. We have this to develop the car well but also a strong foundation of drivers who can come it to replace any of our ill, injured or underperforming drivers. They all have the potential to race, but the race drivers must deliver to keep the seat'.
The official line up for TSB-Team Peugeot will be:

2nd Driver - Regi Abott
