Eight out of the twelve teams have revealed their cars in which will compete for this years world championships. With such changes in regulations, it's anyone's guess who will emerge as the leading contenders. Perhaps early favorites are world champions Franklin FV; whom are yet to reveal for their challenger for the upcoming season and fueling rumors they are struggling with the design of the new era of car. Despite all the rumors, gossip, and questions; pre season testing will give us all at least a slight insight of each teams performance.
Having hosted the pre season tests in 2013 and 2014; it was decided that Jerez would not run the event this year. Instead Algarve International Circuit in Portugal will host the event; fueling speculation they may host the Portuguese Grand Prix if Estroil fail to pay up to the series CEO Nic Morley. The event will run over the course of four days this year, four sessions. Three test sessions were run in 2013 and 2014, although criticized for not producing an fair ammount of time for both drivers. Signed 2015 race drivers and test drivers are only allowed to test for their respective teams. Drivers switching over during the day for the team has now been banned; drivers must complete a full day. It is predicted that the first test will begin within the next two weeks. the 2015 season is finally beginning.
