After being so sure of his new self created partners, the sponsorship deals for Harry Westwood have dramatically fallen through. Westwood Racing owner has announced that almost all his team's sponsorship has fallen through.
He told us that Westwood Motors had had a huge factory fire, injuring injuring many workers, and destroying the factory. Westwood paid compensation to every last worker who was injured, as was the right thing to do. However, unfortunately this spent every last penny of the company's finances, and they recently shut down. Online businesses have been stolen by his partners due to "linked up loopholes" in contracts which Westwood's negotiators failed to notice. They have pulled out sponsorship and instead look to go into Rugby. This comes devastatingly soon after Westwood chose not to renew contracts withsome of his current sponsors, none of which are interested in re-negotiation. Westwood must now ask around for sponsorship, and the rumours of a partnership with football or any other sport may become reality. For now, Westwood head into next season with just Arqiva and Martini on their cars. Fortunately, they develop the engines at the f1 factory, and Westwood have extensively developed and tested these engines. In light of recent events, they now say they are happy to supply to one or two customers and would like to, for seasons to come.
