Elroy Wagner has stormed to pole position in Malaysia, ending the session more than seven tenths of a second clear of his nearest rival.
Adrien Simon joins him on the front row while Enrique Ruiz and Puccio Giodano on row two set identical times. As per practice, the Downton due of Nathaniel Powers and Marcus Thunder were the surprises of the session, in fifth and sixth respectively.

Tumo Kinnumen of Westwood and Felix Beyer of AMR round out the top ten. The Ingram pairing of Mattson and Milkovich line up on the sixth row ahead of the second Westwood and AMR cars of Hoskins and Nakumaya.
Another pair of team mates line up side by side on row eight with Hutchinson pipping Harrison, while Judson Sikes impressed on his debut to line up 17th in the Ocelot while team mate Dwyer was only 21st. Ellington, Agostino and Osterhagen complete the top 20 while Wilson, Davenport and Harding complete the grid.
All eyes will be on Franklin tomorrow to see if they can replicate their dominant performance of Australia, while Ruiz will be looking to grab his first points of the season. Eyes will also be on Downton to see if their sudden upturn in form from the season opener can continue into the race.
