The news was confirmed prior to the start of the South African Grand Prix with series CEO Nic Morley announcing the news in a press conference. The current 2015 seasons has seen all the teams with the same style of nose but from next season teams will have a choice to run the higher or lower nose. There are expected to be advantages for either nose design; the high nose expected to work better in a straight line, while the lower nose is expected to perform better around corners. Liverpool Grand Prix technical director Robert Mathershaw was a key player in the nose changes for next season having put forward the idea in a meeting in Brazil two weeks ago.
"I'm very excited to announce that the 2016 Formula Virtual World Championship will see the introduction of lower nosed cars. Every team may decided whether to run a higher or lower nose, both with their advantage's and disadvantages. It will be fantastic to see what teams choose what style of nose. This news is only the start of a number of exciting things I will be sharing within the next few months, the 2016 season should be a cracker", said Nic Morley.
