Team 23 is set to lose its deal for title sponsorship with Air France-KLM for next season. It follows the news that KLM will save 700 million Euros in the next five years, which includes their sponsorship with the Dutch VGPC team. The loss of their title sponsorship casts a shadow over Team 23's future. The team has been in financial troubles since the start of this season - KLM's withdrawal is yet another setback. Team principal andae23: "We would like to thank KLM for their commitment to the team this past year. Of course it's a shame we never really reached our full potential this year, but two podiums in Spain and Belgium show that we can punch above our weight from time to time. "We are still looking for a major sponsor for next season. However, there is not a lot of time to find one. We will try our best to get a sufficient budget for next season, but at the moment the situation is looking dire." Wagner: "It's a bit of a dick move from KLM to pull out after one season of disappointing results, but ah well, that's what happens when people in offices make these sort of decisions. I'm confident we will be racing again in 2015 - not sure exactly how, but andae23 will probably do some magic to make it happen."
