Enzo Domenicalli was the highest non-Franklin in third, some four tenths off Ruiz's pace with team mate Puccio Giodano only sixth as the Rossi pair were surprisingly split by the two Downton drivers, both of whom pulled out incredible laps with Marcus Thunder just pipping Nathaniel Powers to fourth by less than a tenth of a second.
Kip Maxwell is the highest Liverpool as he out-qualified Adrien Simon for the first time, but his French stable-mate was bitterly disappointed with his session, finishing just thirteenth in the classification and facing a tough race tomorrow to battle back from there. Westwood and Ingram were also a tale of two halves with Will Hoskins and Jean Mattson qualifying eighth and ninth, but Kinnumen and Milkovich a lowly eighteenth and seventeenth respectively. Felix Beyer was the last man inside the top ten while team mate Nakumaya shared row six with Arden Hutchinson, in the Austrian's last race this season before he splits with the Meteor team. Meanwhile his team mate and home favourite Stuart Harrison endured a disastrous session. Suffering from a variety of small mechanical glitches, the American could only qualify twentieth. The two FUN cars will line up side-by-side in fourteenth and fifteenth while the two Ocelot's qualified either side of Milkovich and Kinnumen, Dwyer in sixteenth and Parsons nineteenth. On the back row is Warrior once more, with Osterhagen ahead of Harding. Enrique Ruiz is looking strong for another victory and to take yet more points out of his team mate, and as usual the only thing that can seemingly beat him is his own machine. Will Ruiz romp away again tomorrow, or will someone take the fight to him and Franklin? Tune in tomorrow to find out!
