F1FVGPC CEO Nic Morley has claimed that current championship leader Nathaniel Powers deserves the title over anyone else. The series owner also stated he has been disappointed with Powers main rivals. Nathaniel Powers has claimed four wins throughout the first nine races this season. Jean Mattson has taken two wins, Hoskins one win, Simon one win, and Lewis Ellington has taken one win. Powers has also finished in the top four in every race so far. However Nic Morley believes the championship would be closer if Powers main rivals were less inconsistent.
"If I had to pick a driver who I want to win the championship; it would be Powers. He has been far more consistent with his speed and his overall driving, therefor Powers would deserve the title in my eyes. He has a massive lead but it probably wouldn't be so large if his rivals would stop making stupid mistakes", said Nic Morley. "For instance, Mattson had the race win in one hand in Germany. Though what did he do? He forgot to pit and feel down into sixth. The Mathershaw drivers took each other out, so there's a few more positions for Powers. Despite starting in seventh he came through and won the race while the others fell of the track. It has happened all season long, things just seem to fall into the hands of Nathaniel. Running the series, of course I want to see a close championship; but this won't happen with all the face palm mistakes happening. While they make mistakes, Powers does not; that is why he is leading the championship with a sustainable margin and why more than likely he will be crowned world champion", finished Morley. The CEO of the series seemed convinced Nathaniel Powers will win this seasons championship. However with seven races to go, is there any chance the tables may turn?
