Adrien Simon will head the second row in his DS Vaillante liveried and branded car - albeit four tenths behind the Downton pair - with Enrique Ruiz for company alongside. Another strong qualifying from Arden Hutchinson will see him start fifth, while Elroy Wagner did well to limit the damage his 10-place grid penalty will do with the sixth fastest time.
As in practice the four Renault-powered cars of Westwood and Holmqvist filled out the places towards the back end of the top ten ahead of Allar Kangur and Oleksandr Zozulya, who will start twelfth in his first race. His fellow debutante Viktor Östberg - hastily shuffled into the car following James Harding's withdrawal from the event following practice yesterday - managed nineteenth, while renowned rain master Felix Beyer surprisingly struggled once again in a wet qualifying, ending the session down in 21st.
As Wagner, Aleksy Nowosinki and Karl Beckenbauer all have 10-place grid penalties, they will line up slightly different to the qualifying order for tomorrow's race, which is expected to be dry.
