Formula Virtual CEO, Nic Morley, presented the new logo in an open event where many of the current team managers were present. The new logo was shown in several types of variations, including a special one off for the series one-hundredth race in 2018. "I today present everyone here and across the globe, the new logo for Formula Virtual! Updating the logo has been on mind for a couple of years now. The logo used since 2015 was great, however many feel, myself included, that it already has a dated feel and something that doesn't exactly have an iconic feel. Rather than create a new logo altogether we have decided that a minor, yet also drastic change was the way to go. The new logo now only has just the one color throughout the whole text and a simplified font, now with 'World Championship' added on. We believe this makes the logo more simple, easier on the eye, and something that will grow into an iconic logo as the years pass by. This also gives us the chance to unveil some more variations. Before we get to that, don't worry, there will be no more logo changes ever, this is it and something I am very proud about!", said Nic Morley. A slideshow on a massive screen was then presented to the crowd, showing the previous used logos, plus the new one and it's official variations. As the slideshow ended the crowd erupted in thunderous applause, albeit a few seen scratching their heads in confusion of why the need of a change in logo. Nevertheless champagne and beer bottles were cracked open, fireworks let off into the sky, and music played so loud it was vibrating the floors.
"I hope everyone had enjoyed the start of this celebration and like the look of the new logo going forward. We are seeing big changes in 2018 but we know what they are already! I'm going to stop waffling on now, now everyone let's get this party started!', finished Nic Morley with a bottle rum in his left hand. And with that the Formula Virtual family, teams, drivers, and fans alike had a night they would never ever forget. A cracking event to end off the Formula Virtual year.
